Fall Preview 2025 Play1
Sun, April 6, 2025 at 06:04 AM . Florida
The Baldwin Indians are entering the 2025 volleyball season with a clear mission: building chemistry and refining offensive balance. With key leadership from returning players and the momentum of multi-sport athletes, this group is poised to rise to the challenge. Offseason Focus This offseason, Baldwin Volleyball has zeroed in on offensive variances—especially the connection between their young setter and the attackers. Establishing on-court cohesion and sharpening offensive timing has been a major focus during training. Special Offseason Events While final details are still in the works, Baldwin plans to attend a summer camp to continue developing team skills and chemistry. With key positions to fill and younger players stepping into new roles, this summer will be pivotal for growth. Roster Update The program will be without its standout senior libero and middle blocker, who both graduated last year. Their absence opens the door for new talent to rise, particularly in defensive leadership and front-row presence. Players to Watch Grace Gottberg (OH) – A returning offensive leader, Grace competes in club volleyball and beach volleyball with the North Florida Pirates. She was a driving force in Baldwin’s attack last season and is expected to build on that momentum. Tynlee Jarrell (Setter/RS) – Also playing club for the North Florida Pirates, Tynlee has made major strides in her set placement, versatility, and right-side offense. Her continued development will be crucial in anchoring the team’s offensive rhythm. Multi-Sport Athlete Mentality One of Baldwin’s biggest strengths lies in its multi-sport culture. Nearly 75% of the volleyball roster also competes in varsity softball or weightlifting—giving them year-round athletic engagement, leadership development, and conditioning. This crossover success fuels pride and unity throughout the school and community. Biggest Challenge Ahead Replacing their senior middle blocker will be a key storyline this season. The coaching staff is focused on finding the right fit to fill that role and working toward a new offensive rhythm with younger talent stepping up. Coach Gottberg and the Baldwin squad are confident that with hard work and continued offseason development, the Indians will enter the fall season ready to compete—and ready to make some noise.
