Key Contributors Mia Valle (Sophomore) As team captain, Mia averaged an impressive 19.3 points per game, along with 2 assists and 3 steals, shooting 54% from the field. Her consistent scoring and leadership earned her a First Team All-Hacienda League selection. Britain Hall (Freshman) Britain quickly made a name for herself, averaging 15 points per game, adding 2 steals and 1 block per game while shooting 49% from the field. She also earned First Team All-League honors, setting a strong foundation for her future. Jasmine Harris (Senior) A major presence on the boards, Jasmine led the team and league in rebounding. Her leadership earned her 2nd Team All-League honors and a spot in the Inland Valley Senior All-Star Game. Tori Espinoza Originally a bench player, Tori’s growth into a starter was vital for Alta Loma. Her clutch performances earned her Honorable Mention All-League honors. Season Highlights The Lady Braves posted their first winning season in years, finishing 3rd in the Hacienda League and clinching their first playoff berth in almost a decade. In a thrilling playoff opener, Alta Loma defeated Glendale High School 56–53, showcasing their grit and determination. One of the key turning points came when they upset a highly ranked Carter High School squad, ending Carter’s double-digit win streak and providing critical momentum heading into league play. Overcoming Challenges Despite facing injuries and illness, including losing their leading scorer for six games, the team displayed remarkable resilience. They banded together, finishing 4–2 during that tough stretch with major contributions from their supporting players. Senior Leadership This year’s seniors brought heart, leadership, and toughness to the program. Jasmine Harris set the tone with her rebounding dominance, while her senior teammates helped maintain the culture of hard work and resilience that propelled the team to new heights. Future Outlook With eight players returning and a strong incoming freshman class, the future looks bright for Alta Loma Girls Basketball. Coach Dukes is excited to build on this year’s success, especially with the girls already working hard in spring workouts. The team is focused on improving strength and conditioning, building even stronger team chemistry, and enhancing the program by adding experienced coaches who love the game.
