For the first time in three decades, Clearwater Central Catholic High School girls' basketball proudly brought home a district championship, capping off a historic and memorable 2024–25 season under Head Coach Steve Gowski.

Leading the way was standout senior Emme Dalhoff, who served as the team’s catalyst on both ends of the floor, topping the stat sheets in points, assists, and steals. Sharpshooter Sophia Landen also played a pivotal role, finishing eighth in the state for total three-pointers and giving the Marauders a lethal presence beyond the arc.

Clearwater Catholic’s success didn’t stop at a district title. The team notched 20+ wins for the second consecutive year, demonstrating consistency and growth within the program. The development of key players like Marie Marcinek and Julia Comfort throughout the season provided added depth, making the Marauders more dangerous down the stretch.

While Coach Gowski didn’t pinpoint a single defining moment, the team’s ability to rebound from tough losses with strong performances showed their resilience and maturity. That toughness was led by a strong senior class of four, whose leadership resonated in both games and the locker room.

With five of the top seven players returning next year, Coach Gowski is optimistic about the program's direction. “We’re excited for the future," he said. "But this offseason, we’ll focus on tightening up our defense.”
