The 2024-25 season will go down as one of the most successful in West Forsyth High School basketball history. The Titans delivered a 26-4 overall record, claimed the conference championship, won the Lee County Christmas Tournament, and advanced to the third round of the state playoffs—all while displaying grit, chemistry, and relentless effort. Key Contributors Several players stood out throughout the season: Jacari Brim, a three-year starter, was the heart of the team. As the leading scorer and second in assists, Jacari constantly drew the focus of opposing defenses and still delivered. He concluded his high school career as West Forsyth’s all-time leader in both scoring and assists—an incredible legacy. Jordan Tate, the second-leading scorer, emerged as a reliable offensive threat with his aggressive drives and ability to finish through contact. His junior season marked a major leap in both scoring and defensive contributions. Kamuari Manuel was the team's assist leader and top defender. As a sophomore, he became a dynamic two-way player who could distribute, defend, and score as needed. Princeton Scott brought versatility, excelling on both ends of the floor. His ability to defend multiple positions and dominate the boards added critical balance to the lineup. Season Highlights This Titans squad brought pride back to the West Forsyth basketball program. The team’s 26-win season included a conference title—the school’s first in eight years—and a championship run at the Lee County Christmas Tournament. A strong playoff showing capped a remarkable year for this senior-led group. Turning Points and Resilience Much of the team’s chemistry was forged in the offseason through conditioning and workouts. The bonds built during that time translated to selfless play and a true team-first mindset. One of the defining moments came after a hard-fought loss to Mt. Tabor in the Frank Spencer Holiday Classic championship. Rather than dwell on the setback, the Titans rebounded to win seven straight games, showcasing their resolve and unity. Player Growth Both Jordan Tate and Kamuari Manuel made tremendous strides this season. Tate became a go-to scorer and a lockdown defender, while Manuel’s development into a reliable floor general and scorer made a major impact, easing pressure off Brim and expanding the team’s offensive firepower. Senior Legacy This senior class left an indelible mark on the program. Beyond wins and stats, they brought toughness, leadership, and academic excellence (with four of six seniors maintaining a GPA of 3.3 or higher). They helped restore a culture of pride and competitiveness at West Forsyth and will be remembered for years to come. Looking Ahead The future remains bright with key returners Jordan Tate, Kamuari Manuel, and Max Skillman, along with rising talent Nicholas Fleming and a strong bench. With this core, the Titans aim to make another deep playoff push next season. Offseason Focus This offseason will be dedicated to sharpening both offensive and defensive systems. The goal: player growth, stronger execution, and developing new leaders who are ready to step up in big moments.
