We also try to have a team building experience like taking a cooking class together or going on an outing to play a group game. At Kennedy High School, the boys basketball team has a strong focus on mental and emotional growth, as well as on-court training. Coach Dave Domelle, strives to motivate his players to reach their full potential which starts with a thought of the day that they discuss during practice. To further inspire his players, Coach Domelle invites inspiring speakers to the team, such as the superintendent of the school district and a player from the Warriors wheelchair team. The team also goes on group activities, such as taking a cooking class or playing a group game together, to form stronger connections and build camaraderie among the players. Ultimately, the team is working towards cultivating an environment that is conducive to success, for each player to reach their potential and work towards the greater goal of the entire team.
