With returning players, new players, and a different coaching staff any new team faces the challenge of having to quickly mesh the team into competing unit.

Monterey Trail High School Girls Basketball team has faced many challenges in the 2020 season and working through those challenges has been a top priority. Despite the returning players, new players, and a different coaching staff, Coach David Whitsett and his staff have helped the team to come together as a unified unit. It's been a process of trial and error to work out the best arrangements of players and define their respective roles. However, Coach David Whitsett understands that a successful team needs to be able to trust one another and have good communication in order to succeed. Through instruction, patience, and dedication from the staff and players, the Monterey Trail High School Girls Basketball team has been able to come together and conquer any and all challenges.
