As Segerstrom High School’s Girls Basketball Coach Shonyta Pouncey recently said, the team has been putting the work in to make sure they are ready to perform at their best when the time comes. Pouncey explained that their training and conditioning program has been ramped up and includes a variety of activities such as running on the track, lifting weights in the weight room four days a week, and conditioning in the pool. With all of the hard work that the team has put in, they are definitely prepared and ready to take on the season. Having a solid foundation of training and conditioning is key for any successful team and it’s clear that Coach Pouncey and the Segerstrom High School Girls Basketball team are exemplifying that.
