Capuchino High School, located in San Bruno, California, is gearing up for another exciting year in athletics. With a dedicated coaching staff and a talented group of student athletes, the school's teams are poised for success this year. We had the opportunity to sit down with Capuchino's Head Coach, Steve Matteucci, to get his insights and predictions for the upcoming season. Q: What are your overall expectations for the Capuchino High School teams this year? Coach Matteucci: My expectations for the teams this year are high. We have a talented group of athletes who have been working hard in the off-season to improve their skills and build team chemistry. I also have a great coaching staff who are committed to helping our players reach their full potential. Q: What have been some of the biggest strengths of your teams in the past? Coach Matteucci: In the past, our teams have been known for their strong work ethic and determination. We also have a good mix of experienced players and upcoming talent, which has allowed us to have strong performances in both individual and team sports. Q: How have you been preparing the teams for the upcoming season? Coach Matteucci: We have been focusing on building team chemistry and improving individual skills through intense training sessions and team bonding activities. We have also been studying our opponents and coming up with strategies to play to our strengths and exploit their weaknesses. Q: What do you think will be the biggest challenges for the teams this year? Coach Matteucci: Our biggest challenge this year will be maintaining consistency throughout the entire season. We have a tough schedule and will face some tough competition, so it will be important for us to stay focused and disciplined in order to achieve our goals. Q: Can you tell us about any new or standout players joining the teams this year? Coach Matteucci: We have some strong newcomers joining the teams this year, including a transfer student who has already shown great potential in our pre-season practices. We also have a couple of standout athletes who have been training hard and I believe will have breakout seasons. Q: What are your thoughts on the team's leadership and captaincy? Coach Matteucci: I am very impressed with our team's leadership and captaincy this year. Our captains have taken on a strong leadership role, not only on the field but also off the field by setting a good example and helping to mentor and motivate their teammates.
