Carrollton, KY – With the spring and summer months in full swing, the Carroll County High School girls soccer team is focused on growth, development, and preparing for a competitive fall season under the leadership of Head Coach Josh Noble. Offseason Priorities This offseason, the Panthers are zeroing in on movement off the ball—a key area Coach Noble believes will elevate the team’s overall play. The players are also working diligently on conditioning and ball control, setting the stage for a more dynamic and connected style of soccer. Roster Turnover and Rising Stars The team will feel the impact of losing several key seniors from last season, but reinforcements are on the way in the form of 2–3 promising middle school athletes. Fortunately, Carroll County returns its top scorers, Makayla Keithley and Brinley Couch, both of whom are expected to lead the offense and mentor the younger players. Several talented underclassmen are also showing growth and could play pivotal roles this season. Fitness and Commitment The team is showing solid dedication in the offseason, consistently meeting three times per week with 10–15 athletes showing up for training. The consistency and turnout speak volumes about the team’s commitment to improvement and their hunger to compete at a high level. Community Connection Beyond the field, Carroll County’s players are giving back by working with Parks and Rec, coaching and refereeing youth soccer. This not only builds leadership skills but also strengthens the program's ties with the next generation of athletes in the community. Challenges Ahead Replacing last year’s graduating seniors won’t be easy. Coach Noble is confident the talent is there—what remains to be seen is whether the girls can find the confidence to step into those larger roles and lead the team forward. As summer progresses and the fall season approaches, the Panthers will be leaning on experience, hard work, and team chemistry to write the next chapter of Carroll County soccer.
