As the season approaches, Coach Casey Glick and the Clairemont High School lacrosse team are gearing up for what looks to be a promising year. With strong returning players and a talented group of newcomers, the team is eager to showcase their chemistry and camaraderie on the field. Coach Glick's overall goal for the team this season is to play as a cohesive unit, especially offensively. The chemistry among the players is something that has impressed her, and she hopes to utilize that to their advantage on the field. In order to achieve success, the team will have to work together and support each other's strengths and weaknesses. The senior class has a particularly strong presence this season, with a lot of talent and experience on the field. Jack Wooley, a dominant attacker, is expected to have a standout season in his final year. Another key player is senior defender Chloe Antonio, who leads the team's strong defensive line. Overall, the team is well-rounded and Coach Glick has high hopes for their performance this year. Excitement is also brewing around the new players on the team. Freshman Chloe Keller and Sierra Ladwig have already shown potential in the early stages of the season. Coach Glick is impressed by their quick learning and dedication to the sport. Another standout newcomer is Cassidy Wall, who has already proven her talent on the field and is expected to make a significant impact this season. Leadership is an important aspect of any team and Coach Glick looks for well-rounded players who can inspire and lead their teammates during intense games and practices. With a large senior class, it will be a team effort to determine the team captains for the season. In order to foster team chemistry and camaraderie, the team has already participated in a couple of bonding activities, with more planned for the future. These activities, such as a game night and team yoga, give the girls a chance to relax and have fun with their teammates off the field. Coach Glick believes that a strong bond among the players is essential for success on the field. Motivating players to reach their full potential can be challenging, especially for a newer program. However, Coach Glick makes sure to highlight the team's accomplishments, big or small, in order to encourage them to continue striving for improvement. This positive reinforcement has proven to be effective in motivating the team and driving them to push themselves to be their best.
