Offseason Focus Crystal Springs Uplands is charging into the offseason with a clear mission: get stronger, get faster, and grow smarter. Strength training and speed development are at the core of the team’s offseason regimen. In addition to the physical, Coach Rossi Martin and staff are also expanding the playbook, introducing new schemes to elevate the team’s performance on both sides of the ball. Notable Additions & Departures The program saw some major transitions this offseason. The team bids farewell to standout senior Rohan Dalal, the league-leading receiver who earned a scholarship to Harvard University, as well as quarterback Teague Durkin, another key offensive leader. While their presence will be missed, their departure opens the door for new leaders to step up. Players to Watch With some high-profile names having graduated, all eyes are on the returners ready to make their mark: Jimmy Naylor – A dynamic safety who anchors the defensive backfield. Max Slavet – The returning running back brings both power and speed to the ground game. Nick Loew & Will Kopczynski – Talented receivers expected to help fill the production gap left by Dalal. Rikhav Shah – A key defensive back ready to make an impact this fall. These players have been showing leadership and hustle in the offseason, on the field, and in the weight room. Weight Lifting and Fitness Offseason lifting is well underway, with senior-led fieldwork sessions providing extra motivation and accountability. The leadership shown by upperclassmen is helping to build a foundation of discipline, work ethic, and unity. Coaching Perspective Coaches are hard at work laying the strategic groundwork for the season. The expansion of the playbook is paired with a focus on player development, ensuring the team enters the fall with a better grasp of both the physical and mental side of the game. Fan Engagement & Community Impact This summer, the Crystal Springs Uplands football team will host a youth football camp for grades 4–8 on campus. The camp not only helps grow the game locally but also allows current players to serve as mentors and role models for younger athletes. It’s a strong step in building community ties and fostering leadership within the program. Biggest Challenges Ahead With the graduation of key playmakers like Dalal and Durkin, leadership and offensive identity will be major storylines this season. The challenge lies in maintaining high-level production while developing new chemistry and finding the next wave of breakout stars. But if the offseason focus and energy are any indicators, this team is ready to rise to the occasion.
