D.C. Everest Football Focused on Growth and Leadership in 2025 Offseason
Offseason Priorities: Strength, Speed, and Leadership
D.C. Everest’s football team is locking in on physical development and leadership this offseason. The emphasis remains on increasing speed and strength through dedicated weight room work, while also deepening the bonds among teammates by building a strong leadership culture.
Summer Events and Player Exposure
This summer, many players will attend various college football camps to gain exposure and open doors for potential next-level play. D.C. Everest will also host the North Central Wisconsin High School Camp, bringing together athletes from across the region. In July, the team will practice for two days with Hortonville at UW-Stevens Point, allowing players to sharpen their skills in a competitive, team-building environment.
Roster Changes and Leadership Opportunities
Following the graduation of key seniors, new team leaders are expected to rise. Returning standouts like Xavier Edwards, Silas Weber, and Jake Ruether are poised to take on bigger leadership roles. Other athletes ready to step up include Jake Staysniak, Reid Frame, and Corbin Enzenroth, all hungry for their moment on the field.
Players to Watch: Experience Returns Across the Board
Up front, returning offensive linemen Chris Ferrario, Will White, and Carsen Zoesch bring game experience and stability. On the defensive side, Brad Rickert, Logan Lessmiller, Jake Ruether, and Niko Kleinschmidt provide valuable depth on the line and at outside linebacker.
Skill players also look promising. Xavier Edwards returns after posting nearly 1,000 receiving yards last season, while Silas Weber will play on both sides of the ball. Jake Staysniak is ready to take over at quarterback, supported in the backfield by Corbin Enzenroth and Reid Frame. On defense, Asa Martin is poised for a breakout season as one of the top cornerbacks in the conference.
Coaching Mindset: Continuous Improvement
The D.C. Everest coaching staff is using the offseason to evaluate and grow. Attending clinics and engaging in collaborative planning, the coaches are identifying what worked well last season and where improvements are needed. The goal remains the same: build a stronger, smarter, and more competitive team.
Community Support: A Strong Connection
Coach Mitchell praises the D.C. Everest community for its incredible support. From packed stands to high streaming viewership, fan engagement has been exceptional. The community's enthusiasm helped fuel the team’s momentum last season—and the program is ready to return that energy this fall.
Challenges Ahead: Avoiding Complacency
With last season’s successes setting a high bar, the team’s greatest challenge will be avoiding complacency. D.C. Everest is focused on maintaining hunger, rebuilding the foundation, and striving to surpass last year’s achievements through hard work and resilience.
