We’ve got a talented group of players this year, both returning veterans and new faces who are eager to make an impact. Our top returning players, Cierra Barbary, Cobe Weisner, and Macey Fothergill, bring both skill and heart to the team. With our fast-paced style of basketball, these players will be instrumental in our success this season. In addition, we have some young players who are ready to make waves in 5A basketball. Sophomores Libby Klasna, Elyse Gipson, Bella Blaisdell, and freshman Amelia Avdem have impressed us with their well-rounded games and intense playing style. These players will be crucial in pushing the team forward and embracing our 3D Basketball culture. One of the key qualities we look for in potential team captains is their ability to embody our team’s values of Desire, Dedication, and Discipline. Our captain this season, Cierra Barbary, is a prime example of this. She brings resilience, positivity, and a team-first mentality to the court. We’re also looking for other players who will step up, support each other, and keep our team focused on our collective goals. Creating team chemistry and camaraderie is essential to our success this year. We’re building a culture of mutual respect, support, and a commitment to our 3D Basketball philosophy. This approach will help us to stay united and tackle any challenges that come our way on and off the court. As a coach, I’m motivated by our team’s culture of teamwork and support. We celebrate small victories and lift each other to reach our full potential together. Our motto is to “celebrate, congratulate, don’t point and hate,” and this mindset has helped us to build a strong team bond. We’ve faced some challenges in preparing for this season, such as balancing our focus on speed and skill with mental resilience and staying united as a team. But we’re confident that by staying true to our values and focusing on the “we” over the “me,” we’ll overcome any obstacles that come our way. Our schedule this season includes tough opponents such as TCA, our longstanding rival, and non-league games against teams like Palmer Ridge, Canon City, and Fountain-Fort Carson. Each game, we’re focused on putting our best five players on the floor and showcasing our fast-paced, team-centered approach.
