Following a rebuilding season that saw an impressive six freshmen step into starting roles, the Globe High School football team is embracing the offseason with clear purpose: building strength, developing leaders, and transforming youthful potential into varsity-level performance.
Offseason Focus: Developing a Young Core
With a roster dominated by underclassmen, the Tigers' offseason training has zeroed in on strength and conditioning. “We have a very young team,” said Head Coach Brady Hoff. “The goal this offseason has been to develop physical strength so our young returners are more prepared for the grind of next season.”
Team Bonding in the Mountains
Alongside 7-on-7 competitions and lineman challenges, the team’s most anticipated offseason event is a unique three-day mountain retreat. "It’s not about football out there," said Hoff. “There’s no cell service—just team-building, competition, and real bonding. It brings the group closer than anything else we do.”
Additions, Coaching Updates & Staff Development
This offseason brought a small but strategic change to the coaching staff: two new JV coaches have been added to strengthen the developmental pipeline. Coach Hoff is still on the lookout for a position coach to round out the staff—either a wide receivers or running backs coach.
In preparation for the season, the coaching staff has attended Glazier clinics, held spring planning meetings, and continues to support offseason workouts.
Players to Watch
Several players have emerged as key leaders and breakout candidates:
Jaeger Franco (QB/S, SR): Now entering his third year as a two-way starter, Franco has made big strides as a field general. “He picked up the offense well last year, and we’re expecting him to take it to the next level.”
Corban Bejarano (RB/QB/S, JR): After missing all of last season due to injury, Bejarano has been the team's hardest worker this offseason. “He’s hungry and ready to get back out there.”
Kaden Graham (LB, SR): The Tigers’ leading tackler returns to anchor the defense. Look for him to become a more vocal leader and playmaker in the heart of the defense.
Conner Dean (G/K, JR): A steady presence on the offensive line, Dean has stood out in the weight room and is poised to lead the trenches this season.
Fitness, Nutrition & Culture
While training remains “vanilla” by design—focused on consistency and work ethic—the program is looking to expand its nutrition support. Players currently benefit from free post-workout breakfasts at school, but Hoff hopes to provide additional protein and recovery snacks to support growth and performance.
Challenges: From Promise to Production
This year’s biggest challenge? Maturing quickly. With only five seniors and a large sophomore class, the Tigers are still one of the youngest teams in a tough, physical region.
“The key will be getting these kids to believe they belong and to play more aggressively,” Hoff noted. “It’s time to turn potential into performance.”
Bottom Line:
The Globe Tigers are young, hungry, and on a mission to prove themselves in 2025. With consistent work in the weight room, intentional team-building, and a core group of breakout leaders, this could be the season where Globe’s youth begins to roar.
