As the Kent School girls' soccer team prepares for the upcoming season, Head Coach Greg LaCava is focusing on skill development and building a competitive mindset. With a young roster and a challenging schedule ahead, the team is working hard to improve and grow together. Offseason Focus: Technical Skills & Quick Play The primary objective this offseason has been enhancing technical abilities and learning to play under pressure. By improving ball control, passing accuracy, and speed of decision-making, the team is aiming to compete at a higher level. Special Offseason Events: Possible Pre-Season Camp The team is considering attending a pre-season away camp to help players bond and refine their skills before the season officially begins. Key Roster Changes There have been no major roster additions or departures, allowing for continuity within the squad. With a young team, the focus is on developing players and preparing them for future success. Strength & Fitness Training To improve overall fitness and prevent injuries, the team is offered a full range of fitness programs, including: Strength training in the weight room Conditioning exercises Yoga for flexibility and recovery Coaching & Strategy Coach LaCava and his staff are emphasizing player development at younger ages, ensuring that foundational skills are built early. This long-term approach aims to create a more skilled and cohesive team in the coming seasons. Challenges & Goals Kent School competes in a very tough league, and with a young roster, they often face teams of a larger size and speed. However, by focusing on teamwork, technical skill, and adaptability, the team aims to build off each other’s strengths and grow throughout the season. With a commitment to development, resilience, and strategic play, Kent School is gearing up for a season of progress and competition.
