Pleasant Home High School Volleyball Season Preview

The Pleasant Home High School Volleyball team is gearing up for an exciting Fall 2025 season under the full-time leadership of Head Coach Jenny Pate. With a young squad, a fresh coaching staff, and a commitment to growth, the team is focusing on strength, teamwork, and confidence-building as they prepare for competition. Offseason Focus & Training This offseason, the Eagles have been heavily invested in weight training and plyometric workouts, aiming to increase their vertical jump—a crucial skill for blocking and hitting. As a young team, they recognize the importance of building strength and explosiveness to compete at a higher level. To further prepare, the team will attend a Play Date at The Link in Dothan, AL—a summer event hosted by LBW Community College's head volleyball coach. This experience will provide valuable game time and team bonding opportunities ahead of the season. New Leadership & Coaching Staff This year marks Coach Pate’s first full season as head coach, and she’s bringing a fresh perspective to the program. Joining her is Assistant Coach Amy Garner, a former Pleasant Home player who also competed at LBW Community College. Her experience and relatability with the players will be key in developing the young roster. Players to Watch While the team is still evaluating player strengths and positions, Coach Pate is studying film and reviewing stats from last season to make strategic decisions.
