Offseason Focus: Strength, Speed, and Mobility The main priority is getting bigger, stronger, and faster through: Heavy focus on weight training Speed and agility work instead of early football practices Encouraging players to join the track for offseason development This strategy ensures players develop athleticism before transitioning into football activities in spring ball. Roster Changes: Replacing key senior leaders, including the team's leading wide receiver, quarterback, running back, and two Division I linemen. Defensive Challenge: Losing most of the secondary aside from one returning player. Players to Watch: Rising Stars Jameson Wade, Middle Linebacker, three-year starter, team’s leading tackler, and defensive leader. Tyreke Cornett, Cornerback, First Team All-Region Defensive Back and Punt Returner, had three interceptions last season. Returning Offensive Linemen: Josh Lee, Yos Aunese, and Lincoln Elicio, providing a solid foundation to rebuild the offense. Commitment to Weight Training and Team Building Nearly 80 football players are participating in track for speed training. The offseason lifting program is at the center of development. Nutrition and Player Growth Players set performance goals, and coaches review progress every nine weeks. Protein bars are provided after every morning workout to aid recovery. Biggest Challenge: Replacing a Special Senior Class The biggest hurdle for Red Mountain this season will be replacing its key offensive playmakers and defensive secondary while ensuring new leaders emerge. 2025 Season Outlook With a well-structured offseason, Red Mountain is emphasizing athleticism, strength, and player development before transitioning to football-specific training. Despite key departures, a strong returning core and a proven coaching staff will look to keep the program competing at a high level.
