Rock Springs High School Football Season Preview

Fall Preview 2025

Offseason Focus The primary focus this offseason has been on strength and conditioning. The team has dedicated significant time to the weight room, emphasizing not only increasing strength but also effectively applying that strength in game situations. Additionally, there has been a focus on improving athletic movement to enhance overall performance on the field. Special Offseason Events The Tigers are participating in multiple events aimed at player development and team bonding: Team Camp at Chadron – June 2-4 Line of Scrimmage Camp (Hosted at Rock Springs) – July 11-12 with Big Man Basics from Reno, NV 7-on-7 Evening Competition – July 9, featuring teams from Green River and Mountain View Youth Camp for Elementary Students – July 7-8, aimed at developing young talent in the community Rock Springs Alumni Skills Camp – June 28th Notable Additions & Departures The team graduated 11 key seniors last season, leaving a significant gap in experience and playing time. However, new talent is emerging from within the school as students from the hallways and transfers join the squad. We are excited to be adding 40+ incoming freshmen to the program who will be the future of our program. The coaching staff remains mostly intact, with one final position still to be filled before summer. Additionally, junior high athletes have begun strength training as part of the program’s long-term development plan. Nutrition Program The team follows general nutrition guidelines, with more personalized plans for athletes looking to bulk up or lean out. The emphasis is on consuming whole, unprocessed foods while avoiding energy drinks, excess sugar, and caffeine. Proper hydration is also a key focus. Coaching Perspective The coaching staff has attended clinics this spring and even hosted a local coaching clinic to align strategies from youth football through high school. Adjustments are being made in all phases of the game to accommodate the evolving roster. Ensuring student-athletes excel academically remains a top priority.
