Offseason Focus This offseason, our main goal has been to reshape how our athletes view the importance of the offseason itself. We’re working hard to establish a strong offseason culture that emphasizes discipline, work ethic, and consistency. Our athletes are learning the value of strength training, speed training, flexibility, and conditioning. We're creating habits that will carry over into the fall, both on and off the field. Special Offseason Events To boost development and build team chemistry, we are attending several high-level camps across the state of Georgia, including: Kennesaw State University University of West Georgia Georgia State University University of Georgia These events help our players sharpen their skills, compete with top talent, and experience college-level environments. Notable Additions & Departures We’ve had a few key changes on our coaching staff: Additions: Jarabi Dickson – Offensive Line Coach Zuri Minnifield – Running Backs Coach Internal Transition: Jordan Whiting moves from Offensive Line Coach to Defensive Line Coach Departure: Charles James, our Defensive Line Coach, will be leaving after the 2024 season These changes bring fresh energy and experience to our program, and we’re excited about what’s to come in 2025. Players to Watch We’ve got several athletes who have been grinding this offseason and are poised for breakout years: Kendall Roseberry – 6'5", 300 lbs OL/DL – Holding multiple college offers Gary Borders III – 6'2", 175 lbs DB/WR – A versatile player with several offers Emmanuel Johnson – 6'0", 285 lbs OL/DL – 3-year starter and team anchor Brennan Speights – 6'3", 215 lbs LB/TE – Consistent 2-year starter Joshua Osinbajo – 6'2", 235 lbs DE/FB – 2-year starter with explosive power Deontae Burtts – 6'0", 175 lbs QB – Dual-threat and team leader Brealan Lang – 6'2", 180 lbs DB/WR – 2-year starter with college offer Dylan Turman – 6'2", 215 lbs TE/DE – Made big strides last season Jakobi Barnes-Jones – 6'0", DE/TE – Developing talent with upside Their offseason progress is visible in the weight room, on the field, and in leadership roles. Weight Lifting & Fitness Our training methods have focused on functional strength, mobility, and explosiveness. We’re incorporating position-specific workouts and encouraging a competitive culture in the weight room. Players are pushing each other every day to level up. Nutrition We’re emphasizing proper nutrition with our athletes, providing them with guidelines for balanced meals, hydration habits, and recovery foods. While we don't have a formal program in place yet, we’re working on building a more structured approach going forward. Coaching Perspective Our coaching staff has been locked in on preparation. We're evaluating film, refining schemes, and tailoring our approach to our personnel. We’re also placing more focus on mental preparation and situational awareness this year. Fan Engagement & Community Impact We’ve been engaging with our community through volunteer work, local events, and social media outreach. Our goal is to build a strong support system around our program by showing that we’re more than just football—we’re leaders in the community. Biggest Challenges Ahead One of our biggest challenges will be developing consistency and leadership among our younger players. We’re also working to keep everyone healthy and academically eligible throughout the year. But with the right mindset and work ethic, we’re confident in our ability to rise above.
