Savoy High School Volleyball Season Preview

Offseason Focus The primary focus for Savoy High School’s volleyball team this offseason has been learning the fundamentals of the game. With a young team and upperclassmen still developing their skills, the emphasis has been on understanding the sport and improving basic techniques. Special Offseason Events Due to a lack of interest outside of the regular season, the team will not be attending any tournaments or camps this offseason. Notable Additions & Departures The team graduated five seniors, leaving a significant gap in experience. However, two returning sophomores, Addy Hernandez and Piper White, will be key players to watch as they take on bigger roles within the program. Players to Watch Addy Hernandez – A promising player expected to step up this season Piper White – Another key returner working hard to improve and lead the team Weight Lifting and Fitness No specific offseason training programs or team-building activities have been implemented at this time. Nutrition Program No formal nutrition programs are currently in place. Coaching Perspective No new strategies or approaches are being implemented at this time. Biggest Challenges Ahead The biggest challenge facing the team this season is understanding and embracing the fact that they are in a rebuilding year.
