Play1 Team Offseason Spotlight: Siegel High School Girls Soccer Offseason Focus Siegel’s focus this offseason is clear: build strength, increase speed, and refine ability. With a strong foundation already in place, the team is putting in the work to become faster, stronger, and more technically sound heading into the fall season. Notable Additions & Departures The Stars will feel the loss of a standout Division I goalkeeper, but the core of their field players returns. The experience and chemistry among the returning squad provide a solid base for continued success.  Players to Watch Makai King (Senior): A versatile and dynamic player who has made the All-State team in both her sophomore and junior seasons. She competes at the highest level in travel soccer and is being recruited by Division I programs. Whether locking down the defense or stepping in where needed, she’s a game-changer. Nori Akers (Sophomore): A breakout star as a freshman, Nori was named District Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the All-State team. Her elite speed makes her nearly impossible to contain, and she’s expected to build on her scoring success in year two.  Coaching Perspective With an abundance of offensive speed this season, Coach Smith and her staff are adapting their tactical approach to better utilize it. Expect Siegel to play a more aggressive, fast-paced attacking style to stretch defenses and capitalize on their athleticism.  Biggest Challenges Ahead Siegel faces a major test in replacing a strong senior class that set the tone both on and off the field. Re-establishing team leadership and shaping a new culture for the 2025 squad will be critical for long-term success.
