Orem, UT — With a blend of intense physical preparation, technical training, and a deep commitment to personal development, the Timpanogos High School girls' soccer program is laying the foundation for a successful 2025 season. Under the leadership of Head Coach Robyn Bretzing, the Timberwolves are sharpening their skills, strengthening team culture, and continuing to impact their community both on and off the field.
Fitness, Strength, and Skill: A Total Athlete Approach
Coach Bretzing and her staff have designed an offseason that goes far beyond traditional drills. The team’s focus has centered on cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, flexibility, and technical refinement. A custom weight training program, written by a physical therapist, focuses on core and lower body strength, with three sessions per week in the weight room. Complementing this, the team also participates in weekly yoga classes to improve flexibility and joint mobility.
Before each open play session, the team hones individual technique, especially in ball mastery and 1v1 confidence, ensuring that each player is well-prepared for high-pressure moments during the fall season. Kaiwi Chung-Hoon is the physical therapist.
Camps that Build Skills and Unity
Timpanogos is also leading the charge when it comes to community soccer development. Each summer, the school hosts the Utah County High School Soccer Camp (June 9–13), where players benefit from sessions led by Utah college and club coaches. Daily focuses range from technical growth to tactical awareness.
The team also organizes a beloved Kids Soccer Camp, drawing over 200 young athletes. Timpanogos players serve as counselors, building leadership skills and fostering a lasting connection with the community, all while having a blast with the next generation of soccer stars.
Looking Ahead: A New Chapter After Senior Success
The 2024 graduating class featured seven seniors, six of whom will play college soccer, leaving big shoes to fill. However, the Timberwolves are excited to welcome back a strong group of returners, including:

The T-Wolf Challenge: More Than Just Soccer
One of the program’s most unique offseason traditions is the T-Wolf Challenge — a summer-long initiative that emphasizes mind, body, and character. Players are tasked with completing fitness goals, reading a self-help book, tracking nutritional improvements, and preparing for fitness tests at tryouts. This challenge instills discipline, resilience, and mental toughness ahead of the fall season.
Coaching for Confidence and Character
The Timpanogos coaching staff — Robyn Bretzing, Natalyn Lewis, Alyssa Meinzer, Luis Hererra, Addie Taylor, and Mallory Ringer — works collaboratively to ensure every athlete grows both on and off the pitch. “Our philosophy is to use soccer as a vehicle to develop strong, independent young women,” says Coach Bretzing. “We value individuality and celebrate the differences that make our team stronger.”
Community Connections and Team Culture
Whether they’re participating in local parades or running youth camps, the team finds ways to stay connected to their community. This visibility and support translate into strong home crowds and lasting fan engagement throughout the season.
Fast-Paced Season, Big Goals
One of the biggest challenges? Time. With the short high school season, developing chemistry quickly is essential. “We’re bringing girls from many different backgrounds together, and we have a short window to build unity and establish a system of play,” says Bretzing. “But that’s also part of what makes high school soccer so special.”
With a talented returning group, a promising freshman class, and a coaching staff devoted to excellence, Timpanogos Girls Soccer is ready to make another strong run in 2025.
