It's that time of year again - high school sports season is right around the corner. With the Alliance ESAT High School volleyball team gearing up for another season, we sat down with Coach Max Rosenwasser to get a preview of what's in store for the team this year. As they aim to build a strong foundation and improve upon their skills, the team is ready to take on the challenge with a talented roster of players. "Our main goal this season is to connect as a team and form a solid foundation for the next two years," Coach Rosenwasser explains. "We are also finally hoping to really specialize in skills and positions given our athletes' increased understanding of the game and my increased time availability." One of the key players returning this year is Alex Bustamante, a sophomore who has already made a name for himself on the team. Coach Rosenwasser praises him for his raw athleticism in both digging and hitting the ball. As Bustamante continues to grow and develop, he is sure to become an even bigger asset for the team. Another player to keep an eye on this season is Josue Cortez-Sandoval. A returning player, Coach Rosenwasser predicts that he will become one of the team's greatest assets. He will be stepping into the role of setter and has already shown a great deal of ambition and dedication in improving his skills. With his thoughtful approach to the game, Cortez-Sandoval is sure to be a key player and leader on the court. Coach Rosenwasser also speaks highly of senior Alex Martinez, not just for his skills in volleyball, but also for his incredible personality and positive spirit. Martinez is described as a great student of the game, always asking questions and striving to understand not just how to do things, but why he is doing them. His enthusiasm and dedication make him a valuable member of the team.
