With the start of a new track and field season just around the corner, fans and supporters of the East Bakersfield High School team are eagerly awaiting the team's performance this year. We spoke to Coach Admin Admin to gather some insight on the team's prospects for the upcoming season. The overall goal for the boys and girls track and field program at East Bakersfield High School is to win a league championship. This has been the goal every year, and this season is no different. In order to achieve this goal, Coach Admin Admin believes that success lies in the key components of hard work, dedication, and team unity. When asked about the top returning players from last season, Coach Admin Admin mentioned Axel Ramirez and Jared Delgado for the boys and Leslie Aquino and Andrea Martinez for the girls. All four of these athletes have proven themselves to be top performers and leaders on the team. Axel is a talented distance runner who sets the tone at practices and is a mentor to the younger runners. Jared is the team's best thrower and leads by example with 100% effort in everything he does. Leslie is the returning league champion in both the 1600 and 3200 meter races, and Coach Admin Admin is excited to see her defend her titles this season. Andrea has shown significant improvement, shaving 7 seconds off her 400 meter time last year and continuing to get faster every day. In terms of team chemistry and camaraderie, Coach Admin Admin believes that it naturally develops through the hard work and dedication that the athletes put in together. The team supports each other in all aspects of the game, whether it be in practice or at meets. Motivation is an important aspect of any team sport, and Coach Admin Admin makes sure to constantly provide positive reinforcement to his athletes. He believes that ultimately, it is up to the players to choose to push themselves to their full potential. The team faces its fair share of challenges each season, but Coach Admin Admin believes that it is too early to tell what the biggest challenges will be for this season. As for the team's schedule, the focus is on preparing for the league championship rather than specific opponents. When asked about any changes or improvements made to the team's training and conditioning program, Coach Admin Admin chose to keep that information confidential. However, he did mention that he continuously learns and adjusts his coaching style based on the needs of the athletes. The mental aspect of the game is also something that Coach Admin Admin emphasizes.
