The Free State High School swimming and diving team is gearing up for another exciting season. Under the guidance of Coach Admin Admin, the team is looking to create a positive and supportive environment while striving for success at the State meet. With a talented group of returning players and some new additions, the team is ready to make a splash in the pool. Coach Admin Admin has set some clear goals for the team this season. Along with creating a positive team environment, their ultimate goal is to have a successful showing at the State meet. The key to achieving their goals will be staying focused and working hard to improve individually and as a team. When it comes to top returning players, Free State has a strong group of experienced athletes. Grant Lichauer, Ryan Whittlesey, Jake Hedges, Jake Loos, Cam Stutler, and Roman Jasso are all returning State medalists who play a crucial role in the team's relay events. These athletes not only bring technical skills to the team, but also a strong team mentality. Along with these State medalists, the team has several State qualifiers returning, including Blake Wohler, Zach Hansen-Terry, Jameson Carter, Thomas Henderson, Cristian Wills, Cooper Stone, Gretchen Weinkauf, Cayman Barnes, Brylee Burns, and Elle Cormaney. Their experience and determination will be valuable assets for the team this season. In addition to familiar faces, this season also sees some new players join the team. While Coach Admin Admin is not yet familiar with these new athletes, he is excited to welcome them and incorporate them into the team. With a strong focus on team unity and inclusivity, Coach Admin Admin does not designate traditional team captains. Instead, he looks for athletes who show leadership qualities, such as being encouraging and respectful towards their teammates and coaches. This season, the team will also have an "advisory" role for each athlete, where they will have an additional staff member advocating for them. This will further promote a strong team dynamic and support system on the team. Team chemistry and camaraderie are crucial for any successful team, and the Free State swimming and diving team is taking steps to foster these elements. Coach Admin Admin and his staff will prioritize team building activities and encourage open communication among team members. By creating a supportive and positive team culture, they hope to motivate their players to push themselves to their full potential. The mental aspect of the game is also a top priority for the team
