Fall Preview 2025 Play1
Mon, April 14, 2025 at 07:04 AM . Montana
Offseason Focus The offseason at Glacier High School has centered around two critical components for success on the pitch: fitness and technical skill development. With a renewed emphasis on improving individual ball control and overall conditioning, the Lady Wolfpack is determined to enter the 2025 season faster, sharper, and more prepared than ever. Special Offseason Events To elevate their play and foster team chemistry, many players have been competing in ECNL and USL club soccer, gaining high-level experience in the offseason. Additionally, the team will attend the Nike Overnight Camp at Montana State University, scheduled for July 31–August 3—a key opportunity to refine skills and bond as a unit before the season kicks off. Notable Additions & Departures The team bids farewell to All-State midfielder Reese Ramey, whose presence will certainly be missed. However, there’s good news in the return of goalkeeper Aerin Todd, who is back from injury and ready to be a defensive cornerstone. Players to Watch Leading the charge offensively is Gracie Winkler, a standout freshman forward who led the team in scoring last season and earned First Team All-Conference honors. She’ll be joined by rising talent Neve Travis, a dynamic central midfielder expected to make a major impact in her first year. With this blend of experience and fresh skill, the future looks bright for Glacier. Weight Lifting and Fitness The team is embracing a comprehensive training approach that includes strength and conditioning, technical drills, and team-building activities. Glacier players are putting in the work across the board to be game-ready, both physically and mentally. Nutrition Nutrition remains a top priority, guided by the team’s certified trainer, who provides education and support to ensure players are fueling their bodies for peak performance. Coaching Perspective Coach Doug Mello and his staff are taking a flexible approach to the 2025 season. Preseason performance will determine formation choices and style of play, allowing the team to adapt to its evolving strengths. With a roster full of young talent, the coaching staff is focused on strategic development and maximizing potential. Fan Engagement & Community Impact The Lady Wolfpack are active off the field, too. From hosting youth clinics to engaging in volunteer work, the team is making meaningful connections with the Kalispell community and fostering a strong support base heading into the fall. Biggest Challenges Ahead With a roster that leans heavily on underclassmen, youth and inexperience could be early hurdles. But if preseason development goes as planned, this youthful squad could surprise a lot of people with their energy, talent, and hunger to win.
