With a mix of proven leaders and rising stars, Grafton High School’s volleyball team is entering the 2025 season with a renewed focus and high expectations. Under the guidance of Head Coach David Keeter, the Clippers have been hard at work during the offseason, combining skill development, strength training, and tactical planning to raise the bar.
Offseason Focus: Player Development + Tactical Growth
This offseason, Grafton’s emphasis has been two-fold:
Individual Growth – Athletes sharpen their techniques through open gym sessions, strength training, and position-specific skill work.
Strategic Adjustments – Coaches study film and explore new tactical formations to give the team a competitive edge when the season begins.
“We’re focused on refining the little things—movement, timing, and volleyball IQ,” says Coach Keeter. “The goal is to step on the court as a smarter, more cohesive team.”
Rising Stars + Proven Performers to Watch
The Clippers will certainly miss some impactful seniors from last year’s squad, but the return of top-tier talent—and the arrival of promising underclassmen—has the program buzzing.
Ally Burke – A two-time All-State selection, Burke is a difference-maker on the court, known for her court awareness and leadership.
Kenzie Smith – Another All-State honoree, Smith brings firepower and versatility to the lineup.
Ana and Alivia Breckons – This dynamic duo continues to develop and is expected to be key contributors this season.
Coach Keeter believes this blend of experience and youthful energy could be the secret sauce to a deep playoff push.
Training, Chemistry & Coaching Direction
The offseason has also seen a renewed emphasis on:
Strength Training – Regular open gym workouts and gym sessions are improving overall athleticism.
Team Chemistry – With the help of Assistant Coach Chad Tuszkiewicz, the staff is placing a premium on trust, communication, and building a tight-knit unit on and off the court.
“Chad brings six years of coaching experience and is helping bring consistency to our training and systems,” Keeter notes.
Looking Ahead: Challenges & Expectations
As always, navigating the season without the graduated seniors will be a test, but the coaching staff is confident that the current roster has what it takes to step up.
“Our challenge is keeping our momentum while blending in the younger players,” says Keeter. “But we’ve got the right mindset and leadership in place.”
With All-State talent returning and a coaching staff focused on growth, Grafton Volleyball is primed for a season of grit, growth, and potential greatness.
