Offseason Focus
"Our main focus this offseason has been continuing to develop a championship culture. The players are starting to really buy into the idea that success must be earned every single day. We've ramped up the intensity of our training sessions, but we’ve also made sure it’s fun. We’re stressing the importance of teamwork—holding each other accountable, motivating one another, and building camaraderie across the board."
Special Offseason Events
"Our athletes are getting involved in spring sports, which is crucial for the overall growth of our football program. These activities help build a competitive edge while also fostering team unity through shared challenges. Additionally, we're participating in several 7-on-7 tournaments over the summer to further develop team chemistry and skill."
Notable Additions & Departures
"Our coaching staff remains intact for the upcoming season, with an exciting addition: a former Preble graduate who brings college-level playing experience and varsity coaching know-how. His presence will be key in helping us continue to grow as a team."
Players to Watch
Isaiah Flowers: A standout performer from last season, Isaiah played wide receiver and return man, and also made his mark as a defender and basketball player. He's now running track to boost his speed even further.
Gavin Sullivan & Harrison Selk: Both quarterbacks last season, each with unique skill sets. Gavin also made plays as a wide receiver and will continue to be a dynamic presence on offense.
"Our offensive and defensive linemen have made impressive strides this offseason, working hard to get stronger and more athletic. They understand that their work in the trenches is essential for the success of the skill players."
Weight Lifting and Fitness
"We stick to a fairly 'old-school' approach to strength training—focusing on getting bigger, faster, and stronger. At the same time, we incorporate modern techniques that help increase overall athleticism, ensuring we're developing all-around athletes."
Nutrition
"We emphasize the importance of proper nutrition. We encourage our players to eat clean meals—lean proteins like chicken, rice, and vegetables—while minimizing junk food. It’s not always easy for high school athletes, but smart nutrition can have a big impact on performance and long-term health."
Coaching Perspective
"Our coordinators have been refining our schemes since the end of last season. In high school football, execution of simpler systems is often more successful than trying to implement overly complex schemes. We’ve been focusing on developing a system that allows our players to play confidently and fast while putting them in positions that suit their strengths."
Fan Engagement & Community Impact
"Since I took over in June of 2024, one of our main goals has been to reignite excitement around Preble Football. Having played here myself, I know how special the program can be. The community’s support has been fantastic, and that energy has had a significant impact on our players. The increased enthusiasm is helping with player buy-in, which will be key as we continue to build momentum."
Biggest Challenges Ahead
"Last season was a great experience in terms of growth, but we didn’t achieve the on-field success we were hoping for. It’s tough to stay motivated when results aren’t coming as quickly as you’d like, but the challenge is remembering that success is a long-term process. We’ll face adversity, and we’ll fall short at times, but as long as we stay committed to the process, I believe success will eventually come."
