The Kennedy High School basketball team in Fremont is gearing up for an exciting season with high expectations and a strong group of players. We sat down with Coach Admin Admin to get an inside look at what fans can expect from the team this year. With a focus on league championship and a deep run in the playoffs, the Kennedy High School team has set their goals high and are ready to put in the work to achieve them. Leading the team are three standout returning players, Adrian Velazquez, Will Dorsey, and Nasir Shannon. Velazquez, a 6’4” point forward, proved himself as a force to be reckoned with last season, averaging a double double in league play with 14 points and 13 rebounds per game. Dorsey, a 6’6” shooting guard, is known for his smooth stroke, while Shannon is a defensive specialist with a knack for getting to the rim as a scorer. These three players bring a mix of size, skill, and defensive prowess to the team, making them a formidable force on the court. In addition to their strong core of returning players, the team is also excited about the addition of junior post player, Omar Mojaddidi. Standing at 6’8”, Mojaddidi has already made an immediate impact on the team, averaging 18 points per game in the first two games of the season. With his size and skill, he is sure to be a key contributor to the team's success. When it comes to leadership on the team, Coach Admin Admin looks for players who lead by example, are not afraid to speak up when needed, and can take criticism from their teammates. This year, Adrian Velazquez and Nasir Shannon were chosen as team captains, and they are already working on building team chemistry and camaraderie through team dinners, holiday parties, and volunteer work such as participating in Toys for Tots. To motivate his players, Coach Admin Admin focuses on positive reinforcement and bringing in outside speakers to share their knowledge and experiences. This year, a player from the Golden State Warriors wheelchair team will be speaking to the team, inspiring them to push themselves to their full potential. One of the biggest challenges in preparing for this season has been avoiding outside distractions and keeping the team focused on their goals. The team's schedule includes tough opponents such as Dublin and the Miramonte tournament, which will provide good challenges for the team. Coach Admin Admin's coaching style this season differs slightly from previous
