Wed, April 9, 2025 at 04:04 AM . Florida
As the St. Cloud Bulldogs enter a new era, Head Coach Mike Short and his staff are embracing change and preparing for an exciting season. With the departure of several four-year starters at key positions—including quarterback, running back, linebacker, and offensive line—the Bulldogs have started their offseason earlier than ever, ensuring a smooth transition for their new leaders. Offseason Training & Key Players to Watch The team has been hard at work in chalk talk meetings, weightlifting, and 7-on-7 tournaments, focusing on player development and team chemistry. Owen Sullivan (TE) has shown significant physical and mental growth, making him a standout junior to watch. Sophomore Stacy Taylor (WR) has impressed with his route running and separation skills, while freshman quarterback Jeremiah Lattier is emerging as a strong contender to lead the offense with his big arm and precise passing. Building for the Future Despite losing key players like Logan King (QB), TJ Griffin (RB/DB), and Landon Millman (LB), Coach Short remains confident that the Bulldogs' foundation of success will continue. The mix of veteran leadership and young talent is setting the stage for a promising season. Community Engagement & Team Bonding The team isn't just focused on the field—they’ve also been giving back to the community. Recently, players participated in a local food drive, unloading and distributing food to families in need. These experiences are helping build a unified team culture, a crucial element for success. Challenges & Season Outlook The Bulldogs’ biggest challenge will be rebuilding and meshing as a unit, but the coaching staff sees this as an exciting opportunity rather than a setback. With a commitment to tough, high-energy football, St. Cloud is determined to soar to new heights this season. With fresh faces, rising talent, and a resilient mindset, the Bulldogs are set to turn the page and write a new chapter in St. Cloud football history. Expect hard-hitting action and plenty of fireworks this fall.
