The Tesoro High School lacrosse team is gearing up for an exciting and challenging season ahead. As they strive to make the playoffs, their coach Cameron Cole has high hopes for the team and has already laid out a plan for success. In an exclusive interview with Coach Cole, we gained insight into the top returning players, potential new impact players, team dynamics, and the upcoming season's goals and challenges. When asked about the team's overall goals for the season, Coach Cole replied, "Our main goal is to make the playoffs, and to do that, we need to focus on playing as a team and limiting costly turnovers." This shows that Coach Cole is aiming for a cohesive and disciplined team that works together towards a common goal. This is one of the key factors that determine a team's success. The team has some strong returning players from last season who have proved their worth on the field. These include Boston Badraun, Quinn Zierhut, and Carson Staker. Coach Cole describes Boston as a game-changing player who can take over any game, both as a goalie and an attackman. He is an All-American caliber player whose contributions will be crucial in achieving the team's goals. Quinn Zierhut is a returning Junior attackman who, as a first-time varsity starter last season, managed the offense exceptionally well. Expectations are high for him this season as he leads the team's attack. Carson Staker is a reliable close defenseman who is known for his ability to shut down opponents and neutralize their attacking threats. In addition to these returning players, Coach Cole has identified two new players who he believes will make an immediate impact on the team. Jake Coble, a sophomore, has been impressing everyone with his skills as a face-off specialist. He has been winning against some of the best upperclassmen in Orange County and is expected to continue being a strong asset for the team. Freshmen Bennette Zierhut has also caught the coach's eye with his attacking abilities. Despite his young age, he has already made an impact and cemented his spot as a starting attackman. Team chemistry and camaraderie are crucial for a team's success. When asked about how he plans to implement these qualities, Coach Cole replied, "We focus on making the team a priority, both on and off the field.
